A week-long celebration which will feature quite a number of activities  has always been very hectic for the good Malitanos as the beginning month of every year is Malita’s Founding Anniversary.  One of the highlights of this celebration is the Agri-Trade Fair which showcases the locality’s bests.  Malita as clustered into three areas has 10 coastal, 12 lowland and 8 upland barangays respectively package the resources in their rich lands. While the coastal folks have diverse marine resources including the proud “Dugong” (sea cow), lowlanders have fields to plow rice, corn and vegetables as food producers, and the highlanders ensure that the pygmy forests, falls and wildlife are preserved.

In 2012 Malita will celebrate its diamond year. The Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Benjamin Peralta Bautista, Jr will be fully supported by the able honorable members of the municipal Council chaired by the young and full of vigor Vice-Mayor Bradly Llido Bautista. The office of Congressman Franklin P. Bautista sees to it that few months before said anniversary, allocated financial support has been put in place and so are the various sectors of the locality that actively participate and extend assistance both financially and in kinds making the celebration meaningful and successful as ever.
